The High School for Service and Learning is proud to be actively participating in the City Harvest food drive for several compelling reasons. Firstly, our school has a strong commitment to community service and civic engagement, and the City Harvest food drive aligns perfectly with our mission. We believe that it is our responsibility to give back to the community that supports us, and by collecting and donating food to City Harvest, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of those struggling with food insecurity in our city.
Secondly, our involvement in the City Harvest food drive not only allows us to address an urgent need in our community but also fosters a sense of unity and empathy among our student body. It's a powerful educational experience for our students to actively participate in helping others and to witness the impact of their contributions. Through this initiative, we aim to instill in our students a lifelong commitment to service, social responsibility, and compassion for others, values that will serve them well beyond their high school years.
